Build security into your welcome routine. Set up a signup table just for families with children. Make sure all children wear nametags. Issue a number-coded wristband or card to each parent and a corresponding one to each of their children. Look into check-in computer software from vendors like Fellowship One or People Driven. That way, it’s easy initiate checkpoints and to be sure that the right children leave with the right parents at the end of the service.

Use portable gates, play panels and curtains to section off children’s areas. Be sure there is only one entrance and exit.
